Chapter 2054: Chapter 2055

At first, she thought about asking Hadley for help.

Hadley could’ve found out everything about Ernest with just one call. But Elissa hadn’t forgotten what had happened when Hadley went with her to get the abortion.

She hadn’t gone through with it that day.

If Ernest hadn’t shown up in time and the procedure had gone through, he might have blamed Hadley for it and even resented her, regardless of their connection.

So, the thought of asking Hadley for help came and went in a heartbeat. In the end, Elissa chose to do it alone. And after enough digging, she finally found what she needed.

She discovered exactly when and where Linda would be trying on her wedding dress. It was at an upscale boutique.

At that moment, Elissa sat in a car parked just outside the boutique. She opened the door and stepped out.

Two bodyguards accompanied her. One remained stationed at the entrance, while the other followed closely behind as she walked in.

“Hello,” a store clerk greeted with a bright smile as she approached the doorway. “Welcome, ma’am! May I ask which designer you have an appointment with, and at what time?”

Elissa had done her homework. She knew how these things worked. She offered a composed smile and gave the designer’s name. “We have an appointment at ten, but it looks like I’ve arrived early… Is it alright if I wait here a while?”

“Of course. No problem at all.” The clerk nodded politely, still smiling. Guests who came through these doors were either wealthy, powerful, or both. The staff knew exactly how to treat them. “There’s still time, ma’am. Please, make yourself comfortable in the lounge.”

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

Elissa was guided into the lounge.

Not long after, the clerk returned with a cup of coffee. “Please enjoy. If you need anything, just let us know.”

“Alright.” Elissa offered a polite nod.

She had come early on purpose. Now, all she could do was wait. But the waiting stretched on. Each minute felt slower than the last.

At last…

There was movement outside the lounge.

“Mr. Flynn, Miss Harris, this way please…”

They were here.

Elissa held her coffee, took a sip, and let a subtle smile tug at her lips.

Almost there. Just a little longer…

All she needed was for Linda to be alone.

Outside the lounge, movement stirred, and then came the sound of footsteps heading toward the fitting rooms.

Now was the moment.
