Chapter 1830: Chapter 1831

“There’s no rush,” said the makeup artist with a kind smile. “We’re ahead of schedule. Take your time.”

“Okay.”

Hadley listened quietly, checking her watch from time to time. Would Zane show up? Could he even find the place and arrive before the event started?

“Yes, Hadley?”

Hadley thought it over, then said, “Go to the entrance and wait for Mr. Hayes.”

Worried Chelsey might not recognize him, she added, “He’s the one who was with us at the hotel this morning.”

Chelsey blinked, caught off guard. “He’s actually coming here?”

Why would Zane come here himself? And why would she send Chelsey to wait for him?

“Just go!” Hadley insisted, though she had her doubts. What if Zane couldn’t get there in time? Still, she sent Chelsey out to meet him, just in case.

“Alright, Hadley.” Chelsey nodded and quickly made her way out.

A few moments later, the makeup artist paused in her work. “Change into your dress first, and then I’ll finish your hair.”

Was it already time to get dressed?

Hadley hesitated, frowning. It seemed Zane wouldn’t make it after all.

“Okay…” She gave a small nod, rose from her seat, and prepared to change into the dress.

“Hadley!” Suddenly, the dressing room door burst open and Chelsey rushed in, breathless, with two dress bags swinging from her arms. “Dresses! I’ve got the dresses!” she gasped, pointing at the bags.

As soon as Hadley saw the logo on the bags, she realized Zane had delivered them himself, right on time. He had pulled it off.

“Perfect!” A grateful smile crossed Hadley’s lips as she took the bags from Chelsey.

“Where’s Mr. Hayes?” she asked.

Still catching her breath, Chelsey explained, “He stayed outside. He said it wouldn’t be proper for him to come in.”

Hadley gave a small nod. That sounded just like Zane—always careful, always respectful.

There was little time to spare, so she changed without delay. She had already braced herself for the possibility of losing her chance to represent the brand after misplacing the original dress. It didn’t bother her much to wear a different one, but if she could help Elvin and make sure Chelsey kept her job, she would do it in a heartbeat.

As she slipped into the new dress, Hadley made a mental note to give Zane a proper thank-you.

When Hadley stepped out, dressed in the brand’s latest designer edition, Tamara stared in disbelief. She turned to Chelsey and whispered, “What happened? I thought we lost the dress.”

Chelsey gave a secretive smile. “Hadley must have some sort of luck on her side. It’s like she was made for show business.”
