Chapter 1520: Chapter 1520

Hadley had just wrapped up her scene and was halfway through removing her makeup.

Beyond the dressing area, though, a buzz had started to build. Something was stirring outside.

Unlike Tamara, the two bodyguards assigned to guard Hadley rarely made their presence known. But at that moment, both of them stood like sentinels, blocking the doorway.

Ayla found herself unable to get past them, concern clear on her face.

“Could you please let me in?” she pleaded.

The taller guard remained unmoved. “This is a private space for Miss Pearson. You need to leave immediately.”

Furrowing her brow in distress, Ayla pointed toward the room. “All I want is a moment with her!”

Not a flicker of emotion crossed his face. “Not everyone can meet Miss Pearson just because they want to. Kindly step away.”

Stunned by their refusal, Ayla protested, “I am her friend! My name is Ayla Ramirez. Just let her know I’m here—she will want to see me!”

A glance passed between the two bodyguards.

One of them spoke. “Let me speak with Tamara.”

“Go ahead,” the other replied, still blocking Ayla from passing.

The guard pulled out his phone and called Tamara, who arrived shortly.

“Who’s making all this noise out here?” Tamara asked, her voice sharp.

The first guard gestured toward Ayla. “She claims she’s friends with Miss Pearson. Her name’s Ayla Ramirez.”

Tamara repeated the name, almost as if testing it. “Ayla Ramirez?”

Ayla nodded, her eyes pleading. “It’s the truth. I’m a friend of Hadley’s.”

With a cold smile, Tamara studied her. “So, you’re Ayla.”

Confused, Ayla blinked. “Have you heard about me? Did Hadley mention me?”

“Please, let me in—”

Ayla took a step forward, as if trying to slip past them.

“Stop right there!”

Tamara stepped forward, catching Ayla before she could get any closer. “Your name rings a bell,” she said, “because Mr. Scott gave us clear instructions about you.”

Ayla’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Mr. Scott?”

With a simple gesture, Tamara signaled the guards. “Mr. Scott made it clear that this woman and Miss Pearson are not on good terms. She’s not supposed to be anywhere near Miss Pearson. Do I make myself clear?”

Both bodyguards responded at once. “Understood!”

In perfect sync, they moved to block Ayla, closing in.

“What are you doing?” Fear crept across Ayla’s face as she resisted. “I have to see Hadley! Let me go! Let me through!”

Another silent exchange passed between the guards, resignation in their eyes. Tamara’s chuckle was quick and cold. She shook her head in disapproval. “You’re wasting your time. As long as we’re here, you’ll never get near Miss Pearson.”
