“Mr. Scott,” Phillips began, sounding a bit rushed. “Have you seen Hadley yet?”
Eric glanced out the window. “I’m outside the villa now, just about to go in. Why?”
“Sir, I just got word—Hadley isn’t at the villa. Tamara messaged me. She went to the studio for work.” For more chapters visit ?ovelFind.net
Eric’s brow furrowed. “Understood,” he muttered and ended the call.
The car had already passed the gate, the villa only moments away. But he didn’t hesitate.
“Turn around,” he told the driver sharply.
He wasn’t giving up. He was going to get her himself.
Today just wasn’t going his way. No matter how hard he tried, he and Hadley kept missing each other by mere seconds. But now he was closer than ever. And the more it happened, the more he wanted to see her.
He wasn’t about to sit around waiting anymore.
At the studio, Hadley had been called in to meet with Elvin about future projects.
“I’ve got a few scripts here,” Elvin said, setting a stack in front of her. “Adonis and I haven’t made a final decision yet. Since your opinion matters too, I’ve got you copies as well. Go through them and start thinking about which one you’d like to take on.”
Though Hadley was credited as the female lead in her current drama, the plot leaned more heavily on the male character. Her screen time wasn’t as strong as it could be.
“That’s why,” Elvin added. “Adonis and I agree it’s time for you to shine.”
After all, she had already filmed two dramas, and her fanbase had grown steadily.
What she needed next was a defining role—something big.
“I get it,” Hadley replied, neatly placing the scripts into her bag. “I’ll read them carefully.”

Elvin nodded, pleased with her attitude. With Eric’s backing, it would have been easy for her to get cocky or complacent. But Hadley hadn’t changed. She was still willing to put in the work.
It was something Elvin genuinely respected. Encouraged, he brought up something else. “Adonis and I think you should skip set today,” he said. “There’s a gathering tonight. It’s a great opportunity—you’ll meet some major people in the industry.”
He smiled, hoping to ease her nerves. “Don’t worry—it’s nothing serious. Just a chance to meet people and match names to faces. No hidden motives.”
“Alright,” she said, visibly relaxing.
“You know…” Elvin chuckled as the memory came back to him. “After all this time, you’re still the same girl who used to do dance doubles. You haven’t changed at all.”
He grabbed his car keys, and as they stepped out of the studio together, he lowered his voice slightly. “What’s there to be nervous about now? No one dares look down on you—not with Mr. Scott behind you.” He glanced at her knowingly. “Honestly, interest from investors has picked up like never before. Things have only gone up since you came on board.”
Being a famous director himself, Adonis had always attracted decent investment, but with Hadley, things had become smoother, faster.
