“Hadley!”
“Hey, Hadley!”
Their excitement filled the room. Hadley returned their greetings with a warm smile. She hadn’t worked with any of them before, and despite sharing the same profession, they were practically strangers. Most likely, their interest stemmed from her ties to the Flynn family.
Before the crowd could linger, Theodore intervened politely.
“Apologies, Mr. Flynn and Mr. Scott are waiting for Miss Pearson. Please excuse us.”
One of the celebrities said, “Sorry for holding her up.”
“Right, let’s not keep Mr. Flynn and Mr. Scott waiting.”
“Sorry about that…”
At that moment, both Ernest and Eric were occupied.
Theodore turned to Hadley.
“Miss Pearson, why not grab a bite and rest for a bit?”
Hadley nodded, her smile gentle and composed.
“Sounds good. I’m not a kid—I don’t need someone babysitting me.” She waved at Theodore and Emily.
“You two should get something to eat as well. Take a little break.”
“Will do,” Theodore said.
“I’ll stay nearby so you can find me if you need anything.”
“Alright,” Hadley replied with a smile. She then made her way to the buffet tables.
Honestly, she was starving.
With so many reporters and photographers around, she had been under the spotlight all morning. Though naturally slim, she had skipped breakfast to ensure she looked perfect in her dress. She hadn’t even had a sip of water.
Now that she had changed into something a bit more comfortable, she finally felt she could breathe. She loaded her plate and started back toward her seat.
“Oh no!”

A voice cried out nearby, followed by a flustered apology.
“Sorry! I’m so sorry!”
She spotted a server, who had turned too quickly and spilled a drink all over a man’s shirt. The man was Ellis, someone she recognized.
He glanced down at the stain, clearly annoyed.
“I didn’t mean to! I’m so sorry, sir…” The server stammered, panicking.
“Mr. Gomez.” Hadley quickly approached Ellis while waving at Theodore to catch his attention.
“Miss Pearson,” Ellis said, nodding politely.
The server looked to Hadley, clearly hoping she would step in and handle the situation.
Hadley gave a gentle nod.
“I’ll handle it from here.”
Since this was a Flynn family event, she felt responsible for the guests’ comfort. Turning to Ellis, she offered an apology.
“I’m so sorry about this, Mr. Gomez. The server made a mistake. Do you happen to have a spare set of clothes? If you’d like, you can head back to your room to change.”
She added, “If not, we can provide fresh clothes for you, and we’ll make sure your shirt is cleaned and returned promptly. I apologize again for the trouble and hope it hasn’t spoiled your experience.” Hadley’s tone remained calm and composed throughout.
