Chapter 2262: Chapter 2263

“I don’t care how you managed this,” Elissa snapped. “There’s nothing left to say. I’m sure Hadley already told you everything. That’s it. I’m hanging up. Don’t you dare call again!”

Before Ernest could respond, the line went dead.

“Elissa?” he said into the silence, stunned. He hadn’t expected her to end the call so quickly.

Frustrated, Ernest closed his eyes and hurled his phone across the car.

Just then, the phone buzzed again.

He picked it up reluctantly. It was Quentin.

“What is it?” he said, his tone sharp.

“Mr. Flynn,” Quentin said, pausing briefly, “Mrs. Brown has just bought two plane tickets. They’re flying to Ontmond next week.”

Upon hearing that, Ernest’s eyes widened, his face turning cold, hard with disbelief.

He found it difficult to accept that Elissa was really leaving—and as early as next week.

Panic surged through him, hot and uncontrollable, pushing him to the edge of desperation.

Gripping his phone tightly, he found it impossible to stay still. For a moment, he was lost. He didn’t know what to do. But he knew one thing—he couldn’t just let this happen.

Driven by resolve, he knew he had to act.

In the evening, after eating a little, Elissa stepped out of her room with Savannah. They didn’t leave the hotel—instead, they quietly made their way to the gym.

“You need to move a little,” Savannah said gently, supporting Elissa by the arm as they walked slowly. “Staying locked in that room all day isn’t healthy. Even during pregnancy, light exercise is important. Once we’re back in Ontmond, I’ll keep a close eye on you. I’ve got the time now.”

Elissa glanced at her, surprised. “You’re not working anymore?”

?: gν?

“No.” Savannah smiled softly, shaking her head. “After my recent surgery, your stepfather insists I don’t work anymore.”

“That just means he really cares about you,” Elissa replied, her lips lifting into a faint smile.

She had long known that Savannah had found happiness in a tender relationship.

Once inside the gym, Savannah guided Elissa onto a treadmill and set it to a very low speed. “Just walk slowly for about thirty minutes. Enough to break a light sweat.”

“Got it,” Elissa said with a smile. “You should work out too. I can handle myself.”

“I won’t stray far,” Savannah reassured her. “I’ll stay nearby.”

“Okay.” Elissa nodded.

As long as she stayed in the same space and kept Elissa in sight, Savannah didn’t worry.
