Elissa stopped short. “Quentin?”
Of course, it was him. She recognized him instantly. Ernest’s right-hand man was never far from his side. It didn’t surprise her in the least that he was here or that he would try to stop her.
Elissa sneered and cast a glance toward the restaurant doors. “Ernest is inside having dinner with Bonnie. What is it? Afraid I’ll make a scene?”
Quentin’s brows drew together, and he shook his head. “No, Miss Holland. But you can’t go in right now.”
Elissa didn’t push and merely gave a slow nod. “Alright. Fine. I won’t go in. Just do me a favor and tell Mr. Flynn I was here. I know everything. I saw it all.” With that, she turned to leave.
“Hold on, Miss Holland!” Quentin rushed toward her again and stepped in front of her. “Sorry, but you can’t leave either.”
Elissa blinked, caught off guard. “What did you say? You have no right to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do!”
“I’m sorry!” Quentin looked flustered, unsure how to explain. He turned and gestured behind him.
Two bodyguards immediately strode forward and blocked her path.
“Stay with Miss Holland. Don’t let her leave,” Quentin instructed them. “Understood.”
Quentin then pulled out his phone and dialed Ernest’s number. “Mr. Flynn, Miss Holland is here.”
“I see…” Official source is Find?Novel.net
The call ended.
With the bodyguards flanking her like statues, Elissa couldn’t take a single step.

She turned to Quentin and asked sharply, “What exactly are you trying to do?”
“Miss Holland, please wait just a moment, Mr. Flynn will be out shortly.”
No sooner had he spoken than the doors behind him opened.
Ernest emerged, calm as ever. He walked over, even wearing a faint smile.
“Elissa!”
Elissa blinked. Was he… happy to see her?
“Elissa,” he called again. This time, he quickened his pace. In seconds, he reached her and took her hand. “I’m so glad you came.”
Startled, she instinctively tried to yank her hand back. “Let go of me!”
“I won’t,” said Ernest, his grip firm. His eyes stayed locked on hers, and the smile on his face only deepened.
Elissa was seething. Her cheeks burned with fury, and her eyes were wide and brimming with fire.
Since the day he’d met her, she had always come across as delicate, like someone who needed protection from the world. But now, she was all fire and sharp edges.
Ernest’s lips pressed into a line. “You saw me having dinner with Bonnie and got upset?”
“Ernest!” Elissa gasped, stunned. She hadn’t expected him to lay it out so plainly.
