Chapter 92: Chapter 92

Remarkably, it was none other than Kimberley. She was a contemporary master of painting. Her artistic prowess was unparalleled in the world. At the last auction, one of her artworks fetched three hundred million.

Certainly, that particular piece was larger than the one currently under discussion. However, when it came to artistic conception, the present work was superior.

Mason’s gaze fixated intensely on Sandra. Could it be that Kimberley was actually Sandra? Impossible!

When this crossed his mind, he scared himself. Sandra had lived in a remote village where educational resources were severely lacking. The fact that she possessed such impressive acting skills was commendable enough. How could she…

His heart began to palpitate with chaotic intensity. His mind turned blank.

Archie’s shock was beyond words.

Conversely, Wesley’s demeanor remained tranquil. It seemed he could remain nonchalant to every aspect of her. However, upon closer examination, his eyes held a sparkle comparable to the brilliance of diamonds.

“Lawrence, are you fond of painting?” Mason set aside his doubts. Now, he was acutely aware of his ive: to elicit Lawrence’s assistance. Thus, he began by ingratiating himself with Lawrence.

Lawrence nodded, then carefully guarded the painting. “Are you trying to compete with me for it?”

His vigilant gaze rendered Mason embarrassed.

“No, certainly not. I would like to seek out more paintings to offer you, in gratitude for your tutelage,” Mason said. Lawrence observed him for a moment. It took him quite a while to recall his identity.

A low chuckle eventually escaped him. “Is this my new student?”

Sandra nodded.

“I like his attitude. So, do you remember your earlier promise?” Lawrence admonished with vigilance.

Sandra replied, “Do I appear to be someone who reneges on deals?”

“You may not renege deliberately, but you often forget your commitments,” Lawrence pouted.

Sandra… Lawrence was complaining like a child—quite undignified. Mason could hardly believe his eyes. Was this truly Lawrence?

“Fine, I’ll paint for you in the following days,” Sandra promised.

Lawrence chuckled. “I will ensure you don’t slack off.”

Sandra…

Archie clutched his chest. Today was overwhelmingly thrilling. He barely recovered when he heard Sandra personally commit to painting. She must be Kimberley.

“We must be going.”

Having glanced at the time, Sandra knew she could not linger.

After their departure, Archie still pulsated with excitement.

“Mason, do you have confidence in defeating Vincent now?”

Though Mason now had Lawrence’s guidance, he remained modest. “I will do my best.”

He believed that even if he were not chosen by Lisa, there would still be opportunities ahead. As long as he kept progressing, there would be no regrets.

Sandra and Wesley had just returned to the company when they were summoned to the boardroom. As Sandra had anticipated, the meeting revolved around a simple issue: the ownership of the garment department.

The other family members were present as well. Upon Sandra’s entrance, they were talking.

“Such an undutiful person won’t make it far.”

“Could we really entrust the future of the Coopers to someone so callous?”

“Hailey fought tooth and nail for what we have now.”

“Decades ago, the garment department was a substantial sector. But now, the technical department is more profitable.”

“If the garment department can combine with someone big in the entertainment industry…”

“Stop! Are you against Hailey?”

Sandra scoffed, approaching coldly. She stood by Hailey’s side.

“No chairs left, huh?” Sandra remarked, clearly intended to leave her standing.

“Did Hailey call us into this meeting?” she asked directly.

This baffled the executives. Typically, people would first scold the secretary, and then the secretary would be blamed.

“What are you up to, Wesley?”

Tristan Simmons, a shareholder, frowned deeply, quite displeased with Wesley. Sandra smirked at Tristan.

“It’s not your turn to question him,” she retorted.

Tristan was affronted by her boldness and fumed.

“The Coopers were kind enough to let you in, and you dare interfere in the company’s affairs! Such lack of civility!”

“Do you intend to drive away the shareholders from the company as well?”

Sandra smiled.

“If you wish to disinvest, that shouldn’t be discussed with me. However, since you’ve mentioned it…”

Her smile deepened. “You’ve been resentful of Hailey and now seize the chance to express it, right? You’re aiming to blame any divestment from the company on me?”

Tristan instantly changed color.

Sandra’s tone grew grave. “How many more of you wish to place such blame on me? I advise you to speak quickly, as I don’t have the luxury of time.”

The room was aghast.

The shareholders exchanged glances.

The air in the boardroom turned eerily frigid, as if their breath could freeze.

Sandra cast her eyes downward at Tristan. “Why haven’t you left yet?”

Only then did Tristan collect his thoughts.

Clearly, he couldn’t possibly admit Sandra was right. Otherwise, wouldn’t it be an open betrayal of Hailey? Even if Hailey spared his life, his future would be untenable.

Once more, he spoke up. “Wesley, your wife is quite the firebrand! I was chiding her disrespect toward Hailey, and she suggests banishing me now?”

“So, my stay or departure is at her discretion?”

“Wesley! You must provide a clear explanation to us, otherwise…”
