Philip had always trusted his own eyes and judgments.
The first time he saw Sandra, she was standing at the top of a mountain. He was out of breath and nearly fainted. Sandra, however, could go up and down the mountain several times a day without breaking a sweat.
He couldn’t accept being outdone by a woman, so he grew to dislike Sandra.
Later, when they went to pick up Sandra, Emily fell out of the car. Deep down, Philip could sense that Sandra was proud but would never resort to such lowly acts.
Yet, when everyone blamed Sandra, he didn’t speak up for her. Instead, he joined in slandering her.
He convinced himself that he hadn’t done anything wrong, but the strange feeling in his heart lingered.
In fact, he even felt… a little guilty.
Of course, it was only a little. How could he have any sympathy for a village girl?
So, he closed his eyes and tried to forget about it.
But the incident spread across the Internet, instantly becoming a hot topic.
Ben’s reputation was left in tatters.
He had once been a respected master painter, but his lack of knowledge of ancient patterns meant he no longer deserved to be called a professor.
The university where Ben had served quickly issued a statement, revoking his professorship and terminating his contract.
Furthermore, folk organizations like the Academy of Fine Arts distanced themselves from him.
Ben’s disciples, all capable and well-known in the industry, found their futures ruined because of him.
But things were different now.

After coming down from the mountain, she had seen the world in a new light. She realized there were many things more important than life itself.
So, she held back her anger when she saw Wesley’s pale face.
She even kindly offered him a black pill.
After taking the pill, Wesley’s complexion improved significantly.
Joey was left speechless.
“Is this… is this the legendary Longevity Pill?”
Sandra frowned and looked at him. “Is it famous?”
She had only made those pills for fun, and they weren’t even top-quality.
Joey stammered. “It’s… really, really precious.”
He was getting overly excited.
The Longevity Pill could prolong life!
It was worth millions of dollars on the market, and it was out of stock everywhere.
If Joey wasn’t mistaken, Sandra seemed to have… a lot of them?!
Sandra looked confused.
“What’s it worth?”
Joey attempted to express the value with his hands but couldn’t convey the exact amount. After a moment, he gave up on using body language.
“In short,” he said solemnly, “Mrs. Cooper, with these pills, you could buy half of Geniston.”
Sandra immediately threw the bottle at him.
Joey caught it quickly.
He was Wesley’s bodyguard, with superior mental fitness.
But now, his palms were sweating.
He held the bottle carefully, afraid it might break.
Sandra said casually, “Take it easy. I’ve got a truckload of these pills.”
Joey was astonished.
He finally realized that Sandra was extremely wealthy!
“One job. You sell them at a reasonable price.” Joey swallowed as he stared at the bottle in his hands.
These weren’t just pills—they were a mobile treasure trove.
“I’ll make sure of it, Mrs. Cooper.”
Wesley smiled faintly. “Why do you need that much money? Are you trying to buy the Hill family?”
Sandra replied proudly, “It has always been mine.”
Wesley pressed his lips together. “Tough talk.”
“Mm-hmm.” Sandra’s face glowed with confidence, and her eyes shimmered like the brightest stars in the darkest night.
Wesley was momentarily mesmerized. Sandra had such perfect skin that even from such a close distance, he couldn’t see a single pore on her face.
Her hair was soft, and when the breeze blew, her long strands brushed against his cheeks like silk.
It was incredibly soothing.
He couldn’t help but move closer.
The fragrance of her hair lingered around his nostrils. He didn’t dare to breathe too deeply, afraid that the scent would vanish.
Suddenly, their car stopped at the exit of the parking lot.
Wesley instantly snapped back to reality.
Joey rolled down the window and frowned at the cars ahead. Several vehicles completely blocked their way.
“What’s going on?”
Joey shouted, “What do you want?”
He opened the glove box and picked up a gun.
“Mr. Cooper, Mrs. Cooper, you go ahead. I’ve got your back!”
“They’re here for me.”
Sandra spoke calmly, her face expressionless.
She didn’t look like a village girl who had never seen the world.
Joey gritted his teeth. “You must run!”
Sandra sneered. “If they’re really here for me, do you think I can escape?”
Joey fell silent.
There were too many people ahead, and if they were armed, there was no way Sandra could escape.
Just as Joey was distracted, a person suddenly walked out of one of the cars.
“Mr. Deleon?”
Joey’s eyes widened as soon as he saw the person’s face.
Sandra smiled. “I told you they’re here for me.”
Joey was speechless. Was it really necessary to send so many people?
Adam walked briskly toward them.
Joey rubbed his eyes, feeling like he was seeing things. There was actually an obsequious smile on Adam’s face.
Adam approached him directly.
“Joey, where are Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Cooper?”
Sandra chuckled. “Mr. Deleon, it seems like you’ve made up your mind.”
Adam looked embarrassed.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a long time.”
Sandra raised an eyebrow. “And then?”
“There’s a large piece of land behind my hospital. It’s about 100 acres.”
Adam took a deep breath. “Mrs. Cooper, will you agree to my request if I give it to you?”
Sandra stared at Adam.
No wonder he was the director of the hospital.
She hadn’t mentioned the land that day, but Adam had figured it out. He was clever.
“Sure.”
Sandra really needed the piece of land to set up a laboratory. She wanted to conduct research to avenge her master.
She hadn’t been able to repay her master, but now she finally had a chance.
Adam breathed a sigh of relief. “Good to know.” He patted his chest.
“Can you go with me to see the patient now?”
Sandra raised an eyebrow. “The patient isn’t doing well?”
Adam nodded. “Mrs. Cooper, you are so clever.” Then he looked at Wesley.
“Mr. Cooper, will you come with us?”
“Of course,” Wesley replied impatiently.
Sandra chuckled. “Why are you upset? Shouldn’t you be happy after work?”
It was confusing.
Wesley pressed his lips together. “I’m not.”
“Just come with me. You can’t do without me,” Sandra replied confidently.
Wesley shrugged.
The car quickly stopped in front of a villa.
The interior was quite luxurious.
It must be expensive.
This also indicated that the person living there was no ordinary individual.
After Sandra got out of the car, she carefully sensed the airflow around her.
She commented, “There’s a lot of good luck here, but the only flaw is that the gate can’t hold the good luck, so it just watches as it drifts away.”
Joey gave her a thumbs-up.
“Mrs. Cooper, I didn’t expect you to know feng shui.”
Sandra corrected him, “I know a little.”
Wesley was speechless.
Adam approached them.
“Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Cooper, come with me.”
Sandra wasn’t worried there might be a trap inside.
Adam wouldn’t want the patient to die.
Since she had promised to treat the patient, she naturally intended to keep her promise.
She looked at the patient’s room from a distance.
The door was tightly locked, and it was eerily quiet.
But with the current temperature, without air conditioning and with the doors and windows closed, it would be suffocating inside.
“Mr. Cooper, would you like to play chess with me? I’m not very good at it, so I could learn from you.”
Wesley had Joey fetch the chess set he had prepared and sat opposite Adam.
Sandra instantly understood. The person inside the room was significant, so Wesley couldn’t enter.
She entered alone, noticing the surveillance camera above.
When she first stepped inside, Sandra immediately felt the heat. But despite the thick quilt covering him, the person on the bed still felt icy.
He heard the door and slowly turned over.
Sandra finally saw his face clearly.
It was Jefferson Kenith, the high-profile figure who had been in the news recently.
It was said that Jefferson had been training the country’s special forces and only appeared when necessary. This time, he had come to Geniston for medical treatment.
Now, he was as stiff as a piece of wood.
Unfortunately, all the doctors had told him the same thing: he could only take medication for now. Even though he had changed hospitals, the prescriptions remained the same.
Sandra stepped forward slowly.
Jefferson appeared frail, his complexion pale, his breath weak. Sandra noticed that his gaze was unfocused. He opened his mouth but closed it again without saying a word.
She sighed. Jefferson was in critical condition. Without treatment, he would die within a month or two.
She immediately sat down and took his pulse.
She had always admired national heroes, so she was particularly careful when examining Jefferson.
After finding the right acupoints, she took out her silver needles and pierced them into his forehead.
Her speed and accuracy were astonishing.
Jefferson’s condition stabilized significantly.
She wrote a prescription and handed it to Adam outside.
Soon, the herbal medicine was brought over.
Sandra helped Jefferson sit up and let him slowly take the medicine.
At first, Jefferson refused to open his mouth, so she pressed his acupoints and forced him to take it.
She even rewarded him with candy.
Jefferson was speechless. Did she treat him like a three-year-old?
He sighed helplessly.
“Little girl, are you a doctor?”
Sandra was resting in a chair. Hearing his question, she glanced at him.
“You’ve recovered well. You can get out of bed now.”
Jefferson felt a bit embarrassed.
Before, he had been resolute and decisive, with his words always being law.
This was the first time he had been treated like a child.
It was humiliating.
Jefferson spoke slowly.
“What’s your name?”
He felt that she resembled someone from his past.
Sandra told him her name and then reminded him,
“You must rest for three months.”
Jefferson frowned. “Three months?”
“Yes, and if you don’t listen to me, I can’t guarantee what will happen.”
